My name is Michael Nee, and I’m 26. I’m an ocean photographer based in Vendée, France. I discovered surfing sixteen years ago and I’ve been shooting for about four years now. I grew up around the world, Senegal, Ivory Coast, French Guyana and Djibouti… I really started to surf and shoot in Vendée, a French beautiful surf spot. It’s not Hossegor nor does it have the best waves in France, but the atmosphere is amazing. The wave is absolutely perfect when the swell is right, and the people are great.
I like action, but my photography and inspiration are based on the beauty and the aesthetics of ocean and waves. I’m always looking for a new surf spots, new waves and new viewpoints.
