Well if this isn’t exactly what we all love to see as the sun goes down. A fiery sunset coupled with a flawless barrel is one of the most appealing versions of surf porn in existence. Search the Hashtag section of Instagram for #goldenhour and you’ll get plenty of visions similar to this one, however this particular day on Sydney’s Northern Beaches takes the cake this week. The red, orange and yellow sky contrasted with the dark green and slight backlighting of the barrel make this image special.
Martin Zariquiey Labarthe nailed the reason why crowds flock to coastlines the world over as the sun goes down. Golden hour is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful times to be in the water.
