The Inertia

O’Neill sounds like one heck of a company to ride for. For R&D, rather than having an isolated testing regimen to put everything through the paces, they throw a handful of their surfers into a couple of trucks and tell them to hit the pavement.

The latest installment to this Gooseberry Road Trip — according to Torrey Meister, a gooseberry is something that “looks terrible… and is amazing” — sees the newly sponsored Meister and teammates Corey Lopez, Timmy Reyes, and Brett Barley test O’Neill’s cold water gear in what looks to be the coldest of waters. And from the looks of their cheeky grins, both the equipment and waves are worth writing home about. The scenic backdrop isn’t all that bad, either…
