What’s not to love? Big, truck-sized barrels are always worth celebrating, and the lucky surfer in the foreground is deservedly stoked. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited about your friends’ excitement (don’t be the kind who gets barrel envy), this is for you. Just a surfer and their barrel. That’s what it’s all about, really.
Thanks to Instagrammer @haydenoneill for snapping this moment in time. Not only is this spot pumping perfect sheet glass barrels, but the stoke pictured here is nearly palpable. We dig that. One can only hope that immediately after celebrating this vision, this surfer paddled into one and scored a barrel he won’t soon forget. Because a wipeout on this wave looks miserable.
