Matahi Drollet is the younger brother of Manoa Drollet. Even just having one person in the family that’s able to look so comfortable inside the mouth of a cavernous Teahupoo barrel is crazy enough, but two? Matahi’s only 17 years old, but this ride puts him a category usually reserved for much more experienced surfers.
During filming for Point Break 2, Manoa and Matahi were the only two tow guys that weren’t involved in the production. But that didn’t stop them from stealing the show. Because, like they say in the original Point Break, “Locals rule and yuppie insects shouldn’t be surfing.”
