The Inertia

When a massive storm approached the Basque Country of Spain, Nic Lamb flew across the Atlantic with less than 48-hours notice to chase a green light for the Big Wave World Tour. After he claimed victory at the Punta Galea Challenge, the California native currently ranks No. 3 on Tour. Nic Lamb made a big statement for Santa Cruz surfers yesterday, as the hungry 26-year-old sat out the back feeding off critical drops off 30-40 ft peaks.

Only six of the world’s best big wave surfers made it through to the final, broadcasted on Universal Sports Television: Nic Lamb, Makuakai Rothman, Nathan Fletcher, Gabriel Villaran, Natxo Gonzalez and Patrick Gudauskas.
