There is a turn that goes down every other month or so that is heard around the world. The kind of turn that stops you in your tracks and makes you say something along the lines of, “Holy Sh*t!” For example, Bryce Young in Nicaragua this year and Tom Carroll at the ’91 Pipe Masters laid down a set of turns that makes everyone pause the video and play it back in slow motion over and over again. In doing this, we try to dissect each fraction of a movement in hopes to one day replicate it. Well, here is another turn to be added to the list. Here is the man, the myth, the legend: Kelly Slater, burying his rail in 4k and slow enough so that us regular humans can comprehend and appreciate the sheer power of this classic example of a man-turn.
