A few weeks ago, Waimea turned up the dial. Back on January 12th, Haleiwa’s own Emi Erickson paddled out with the rest of the pack, stroked into a bomb, and navigated both the wave and the humans. Tim Bonython caught this wave on camera, and now it’s an entry in the Billabong Ride of the Year category of the 2015 XXL Big Wave Awards.
