GoPro has changed the way we look at surfing. It enables the everyday surfer to see what it’s like to surf some of the biggest waves in the world–men like Shane Dorian, Alex Gray, and Mark Healey, among others.
But what happens behind the scenes at events like Titans of Mavericks isn’t really top of mind–as long as we get to see the insanity that is big wave surfing, we’re happy. But getting footage from a GoPro on a surfboard out in the lineup to the media tent and onto a webcast isn’t the easiest thing in the world. In this edit, GoPro shows not only some of the craziest views of the craziest waves, but just how we get to see them.
