The Inertia

As the Gold Coast and other surf meccas flex under the strain of ‘CT and ‘QS events, the southern isles inaudibly extol the merits of the empty, wave-rich region beneath the mainland. Their SE swells become our NE swells, as low pressure systems detonate onto the jagged, rocky coastline. Here, the swells are typically long period and the winds from the west favorably groom the lineup. The following gallery features several images from this year taken on the beautiful island state of Tasmania.
