Adam Melling’s Round 3 matchup with the Hawaiian wonder boy, John John Florence, was sort of an anomaly. Some would say it was supernatural. Black magic even. How he managed to paddle away unscathed from this horrible wipeout is completely beside us. We were expecting both him and his board to surface in two pieces. Miraculously, he didn’t. This is unquestionably one of the worst wipeouts of the event. Anyone else smell a Wipeout of the Year nomination?
