Brian Bielmann is the man. The guy’s been creating visual magic for nearly 40 years, and at 57-years-old, he’s still swimming out at Pipeline. When he started 38 years ago, there was no auto focus or auto exposure. Shutter speeds and motor drives were extremely slow and he had just 36 photos to get a good shot. Today, any dingus with a camera can go out there, push a button, and with a little post-editing, can make out with a pretty sweet shot.
