The Inertia

For any mountain biker — from never-beens to tried-and-true experts —  confidence is key. Without confidence, you’re going to be second guessing every single track you tread with the sort of hesitation that will ultimately prove counterproductive and unsafe or simply boring/not fun. But the confidence we’re talking about here isn’t merely throwing caution to the wind and cruising uncontrollably while accepting that whatever comes comes. This confidence we’re talking about here is control… and there is no more definitive control than being able to brake as you want and need.

Need more convincing that confidence is control? Take this guy. Or this guy. Or THIS guy.

Anyway, the tips of the trade you get from Global Mountain Bike Network are more than balance of power, though there is also that.
