The Inertia

Nowadays, any grom can fly down the line and flick an air reverse at the end section. In fact, it has become such a staple of modern-day surfing that kids are growing up building a repertoire that doesn’t include a proper turn. However, we are undoubtedly seeing an emergence of a new generation of groms who are growing up understanding the importance and beauty of a solid turn. Kids like Noah Beschen and Kyuss King, who are perhaps the best 14-year-olds out there, are displaying a skill and technique far beyond their years. And it’s not just their air game. These groms are putting that rail in the water like it’s nobody’s business. Here’s Kyuss going absolutely bananas while surfing one of the most rippable/crowded waves on the planet: Lower Trestles. Reckon he likes the color green?
