Andy has been surfing for 20 years and became an activist after witnessing the abuse the seas and oceans around the UK were being subjected to. After university Andy joined Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) in 2003 as a Campaign Officer, working across all of SAS’s campaigns. Today Andy is the Campaign Director helping steer the organization and represent members on an increasingly diverse range of issues. Andy represents SAS from the grass roots, attending actions and campaign events, to the more strategic level, debating and negotiating with government and industry.
