I have passion for conservation and protecting the earth. And like most surfers, I want to see the oceans and coastlines conserved for generations to come. Through my writing, I want to draw attention to current environmental issues not just in Australia, but of a global context. I and am involved in activism around Western Australia, where I study environmental science. As wave-riders, we have a unique opportunity to engage with and to protect the very environment that we so yearn to be a part of. No other activity is so intrinsically interconnected to its surroundings as surfing, and we must make it a priority to save not just the oceans and coastlines, but every natural area in this world, so we enable generations of surfers to enjoy the pleasure we take for granted every day.
