Ben Mondy is 40 and better looking than he looks. He grew up in Redhead, a barreling beachie in Newcastle, Australia, and was the Deputy Editor for Tracks magazine in Australia from 2000-2005. For some ungodly reason, he moved to the UK in 2006, formed the company ACM Writing and continued to write for most of the world's biggest surf publications including Surfer, Surfing, Tracks and Surf Europe, among others. In 2011, he relocated to Biarritz, working as a freelancer, taking his disastrous French and love of heaving barrels to the next level down. He has a wife, two young groms and an ongoing passion for the ocean and those that enter it. He hangs a little to the left.
