A native of Charlotte, NC, Brad grew up splitting his weekends between racing sailboats on the coast and finding big rocks to climb in the North Carolina mountains. After receiving a commission as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Brad spent five years as a search and rescue coordinator in the Mid-Atlantic. Brad holds a Master's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University. Presently, Brad works as a Disaster Services Analyst for the Pacific Disaster Center.
