Emi is a Georgetown University graduate with a degree in Psychology and dual concentrations in Anthropology and Justice and Peace Studies. She lives as a nomad, traveling across coastal communities with her nonprofit, Beyond the Surface International, and an audiovisual project, Coast 2 Coast, which meets with groms, facilitates storytelling, promotes ocean conservation, and supports grassroots surf and social good initiatives. Emi's life goal is to ensure that no child grows up feeling insignificant or excluded from global dialogues and to create safe spaces (virtual and physical) for self-expression to be nurtured and encouraged. Emi also likes papayas with lime, mangos, and the occasional epic sweater.
