Evan Schell is an avid filmmaker, photographer, and surfer from San Diego, California. His interest in filming and editing began at an early age when he and his middle school friends created short skate videos in their neighborhood. Film's ability to inspire others attracted Evan to pursue a career in filmmaking. Along with film, environmental issues and conservation work have always been important to Evan. The convergence of these passions fuel his explorations of our world. His work with organizations like the Surfrider Foundation and The Rob Machado Foundation provided him with the necessary skills to complete a short film on waste management in Santa Cruz, California, while earning his degree in Environmental Studies and Film Studies at UC Santa Cruz. Evan's lens on the world hails from his multicultural background, international travels, and a strong belief in education. Currently Evan is living back in San Diego where he is working as a freelance filmmaker and photographer with the support of likeminded individuals in his community. Through Evan's future work he hopes to continue integrating his passions into powerful projects that utilize film's authority.
