Guillaume Coche is a 23-year-old photographer from Quimper, Britanny in northwestern France. He began taking photos shortly after a horrible back injury, which inhibited him from surfing. He thought if he couldn't surf, surf photography was the next best thing. In the words of Guillaume: "Ater suffering a severe back injury, I spent two months in the hospital. I couldn’t surf, let alone anything physically strenuous for six months. After several months in physical therapy, I started to think I would photograph surfing if I couldn’t surf. I began hitchhiking to Quiberon, a surf spot 30 kilometers from Quimper, to start taking photos. Slowly, a new passion emerged. I bought a brand new camera and housing and the endless possibilities began. Here I am several years later as a professional freelance photographer. Each time I enter the water, I strive to bring a unique vision to those who, like me, might not be able to experience what it’s like to be in the water or inside a barrel."
