am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of the European Geophysical Union and serve on the editorial board of the journal Earth System Dynamics. I have (co)authored over 40 peer reviewed science papers and book chapters, and over 45 popular science and environmental articles. I am the organiser and host of TEDxSouthampton, have compèred the Winchester Science Festival and speak at and host other environment and science events. I work with community groups and local government authorities via Climate Conversations which I founded to help facilitate discussions on how cities can transition to low carbon and healthy places to live.
