Jessica Rivas is a wilderness ranger in Yosemite National Park – one of the country's most visited national parks with well over 5 million annual visitors. As a student at UC Merced, she joined the Yosemite Leadership Program, which piqued her interest in the wilderness, and Yosemite in particular. Her favorite part about her job is sharing her love for the park with eager fourth graders, who have so much magic in their hearts and speak the language of discovery and curiosity.
