Calling the Mid-Atlantic region home, Joe's work has appeared in Canoe & Kayak magazine, Blue Ridge Outdoors, and Outside. He grew up getting lost in the natural world of New Jersey’s Pine Barrens and worked for 15 years as a professional river guide in Pennsylvania. As a competitive kayaker he's paddled on three continents and raced as a member of the U.S. kayak team. He covers both recreation (see fun) and the plight of our environment.
