Laura Austin has worn many hats in her career for only being 24, beginning with a job as a graphic designer at Quiksilver at the ripe age of 18. After pushing pixels for a while, Laura got tired of sitting behind a desk and took a job as the Online Editor of Snowboarder Magazine. Here she was able to travel the world writing and shooting photos for one of the best snowboard magazines in the world. It was during this stint here that she realized her passion for photography, and after 2 years left the magazine to pursue her passion full-time as a freelance photographer. Based in Los Angeles, Laura now combines her appreciation for aesthetics and composition she learned through design, and the storytelling needed as a journalist to create images that inspire you to get out and go experience the world for yourself.
