Always a water lover, Laurence first found happiness in swimming and rowing. At 15, during a rowing training camp in Cocoa Beach, Florida, she discovered surfing. It was love at first sight. As a landlocked surfer living in Montreal, she has also been practicing river surfing for the last seven years. Between trips, she earns a living (and pays for her surf trips) by fulfilling her other passion, writing, for a public relations agency in the heart of Old Montreal. She also contributes to other surf publications, mostly in French, in addition to being behind the Fuerza Ecuador initiative that aimed to help Ecuadorians affected by the earthquake of April 2016.
