Matt Hoffman is a self taught, LA-based photographer who is simply in love with beach life. As a surfer, he is most excited about photographing waves and surf-related subjects. Matt has travelled to exotic locations around the world to surf and photograph oceanic scenery. “To capture that spontaneous moment when the waves, winds, tide and lighting are all in rhythm… That is my goal and the ultimate challenge when shooting the ocean,” Matt explains. “The objective is to create a response from viewers. I want them to react to what they see. I am always in search of an image that delivers that ‘wow’ factor, whether they surf or not. When people have a hard time walking away from your image, you know there is something special there.” Matt has no plans in slowing down. He is constantly on the search for his next adventure and looking for any opportunity to add a new image to his already impressive library.
