Matthew Pera is a surfer and writer from Northern California who grew up paddling out way undergunned on big, foggy days at Ocean Beach, San Francisco. He currently lives in Santa Cruz, California, where he's completed a creative writing degree at UCSC, and can usually be found scribbling away in coffee shops, looking for barrels, or in one.
