Mike Koranda, an East Coast native, spent the early part of his career climbing the corporate ladder in DC and traveling Europe and Asia in media sales, before settling in Australia for a few years (and finally learning to surf). Mike first discovered custom clothing while working in Thailand and after that, there was no going back to ready-made. While in Australia, Mike worked with a number of apparel retail clients and discovered a passion for the industry. One last stop in San Francisco, where he caught the entrepreneurship bug and decided to marry retail and custom clothing with his passion for surfing and snowboarding, then it was off to business school at University of Southern California to launch Pacific Issue.
