Michael grew up in northern New Jersey. With his family, he traveled a lot as a kid and frequented places like California, Hawaii, and spent many summers on Long Beach Island. It was in these places where his brother and he learned to ride waves at a young age. He has been in love with the ocean ever since and can't really imagine life without it. Michael has lived in New York City for the last 10 years and has spent as much time as possible in the ocean. He is a full-time teacher, so he has had the freedom to travel and chase waves both locally and around the globe as the vacation time is pretty substantial. Michael picked up a camera a year ago and has not looked back since. He found a new passion in life and one that offers a new and exciting connection to the ocean, and he hopes to continue shooting waves for many years to come.
