My name is Santiago Nicolas Videla, and I'm a thirty-eight year old surfer and photographer and i live in Argentina. When I was eighteen, I took some photo courses at my local University. I have been surfing and capturing the beach scenes of my local breaks, attempting to show how the ordinary people live and surf each day. I'm not too focused on the competition circuit, although I have no problems with the pro surfers or the ASP. I'm just more interested in capturing the real lives of those sharing the beach life, how a shaper designs a board, or how the locals from a small town in Brazil or Costa Rica or Mexico enjoy a surf session after work. I try to show a more human side of surfing… if that's possible.
