Born in Washington, raised on Maui; I grew up with and spent most of my time around the ocean. I've been passionate about the ocean throughout my whole childhood thanks to ocean-loving friends and family. When I was fifteen I had an encounter with a tiger shark while surfing one day that really opened my eyes to appreciate life, and to appreciate documenting it. I've had a deeper interest in photography since then, taking photos with a phone or a GoPro until I had finally gotten my first DSLR when I was seventeen. Since then I've been shooting as much as possible, shooting with local photographers and reading any relevant books to try to further my photography. Throughout the time I grew an appreciation for shooting all types of photography. To be honest growing up on a beautiful island really helped motivate me to take my camera out wherever I go. Even though I had so much fun with it I never thought that my photography would grow into something so big in my life.
