I grew up in Long Beach, California. As a grom, I surfed wherever the Orange County transit bus #151 would take me. Usually I would end up in Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport, or Dana Point. During these bus sessions my surf gang of friends and I would pool our allowance to buy underwater disposable cameras in hopes we would capture a shot of one another pulling into a barrel or hitting a lip. The photos never really turned out great, but the process inspired me to continue with surf photography into my adult years. Fast forward to today, my philosophies are the same, and nothing stokes me more than sharing a photograph with my friends and seeing their reaction to the moment captured.
