Writer/Surfer

SeaWorld has been particularly controversial for the last few years – especially since 2013 following the release of Blackfish. The parks have since sought to remedy their reputation, but with little success. While the film focuses predominantly on SeaWorld’s treatment of Orcas, how they treat other animals is likely not much different.

Which is why it makes sense that when an iPad-wielding woman came close to the dolphin tank at SeaWorld in Orlando, the dolphin would seize the opportunity to hijack an iPad, likely to phone for help.

The woman managed to successfully retrieve her iPad while it floated for a brief moment on the surface of the water, dashing the hopes of the captive dolphins to orchestrate a rescue. In all, the video is proof that in spite of the controversy and animals’ obvious cries for help folks continue to visit SeaWorld.
