Big Island, Hawaii is an amazing place. Lava flows constantly, and in certain places, those who live there deal with the constant possibility of evacuation. On New Year’s Eve this year, a massive delta made of infant lava collapsed into the Pacific, causing one of nature’s most incredible sights.
Since then, lava has been seeping slowly from what used to be the Kamokuna delta, and a few days ago a fresh channel burst through an opening and into the sea creating a lava hose of epic proportions.
