This isn’t your “gutless fish.” It’s a mammal. And mammals eat fish. Travis Rice articulately breaks down his new “Orca” board from Lib Tech and there’s several things to digest here: Fish are fun, but they can be kinda soft. So, according to Rice, the Orca plays off the fun of the pow-specific fish, but “took everything that sucks about a fish and fixed it.” Meaning you won’t toe or heel out thanks to width and “a super-tight radial sidecut” means the thing holds an edge like a carving board, definitely a huge plus if you’ve ever tried to lay a soft pow board on rail and felt the thing give way. Plus Rice seems ultra amped on the tail technology. The board looks fun. And Rice sells it well.
