Like all nuts, cashews are high in calories; however, they’re also rich in heart-healthy fats, protein, and magnesium. This coconut honey cashew butter is a nice change from your more common peanut and almond butters, and it’s super easy to make at home. Give it a shot if you’re looking for a tasty, protein-rich spread for sandwiches, toast, and snacks.
Ingredients
2 cups soaked cashews
3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1-2 tablespoons raw honey
1/4 teaspoon unrefined salt (himalayan or sea salt preferable)
Instructions
-Place all ingredients in a blender.
-Blend on high for 4-5 minutes.
-Scrape off the sides to continue mixing.
-Blend for 3 more minutes.
-Refrigerate and serve when desired.
