Think about all the fitness trends in your lifetime: CrossFit, Barre, TRX. There’s something for everyone. Or something to annoy everyone. On the other hand, in the world of tight pants and gym memberships, you have to tip your hat to yoga: it’s the one movement that has actually stood the test of time. That’s probably because it’s thousands of years old and has real roots in wellness.

But even yoga has seen its share of awkward sub-versions. Hold up, though. Without a doubt, above pilates, hot yoga or any other form, goat yoga is so in right now. And we’re not even kidding. Emily Nielsen is a Boise, Idaho-based fitness guru who set up the classes using the animals as props, or assistants, depending on your POV. “These four, miniature Pygmy Goats are gentle, curious, and ready to lend their happy energy to your vinyasa flow,” she says in the class description. “Stick around to help feed the goats and get some snuggles.”

While she didn’t immediately return our messages, on her Facebook page, Nielsen says the classes are extremely popular. So much so that the first one filled up in two hours. So she created more. It’s not entirely clear if the goats actually help you move in and out of poses (not likely), but they will help mindful yogis get more “earthy.” Which is a good thing. We think.
