This super simple smoothie bowl recipe is a great way to kick off the weekend. If you like acai bowls, then pitaya, or dragon fruit, is your next natural step. The bright pink fruit might be bold to look at, but it actually has a mild flavor similar to a kiwi or melon. Pityaya is packed with omega-3 fats as well as antioxidants, and the almond butter lends plenty of protein to this breakfast bowl.
Ingredients
1 Pitaya plus smoothie pack
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen mango
1/2 tbsp crunchy almond butter
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Toppings: banana slices, toasted almonds, granola.
Instructions: Place all ingredients into blender. Blend together until smooth. Add additional almond milk if needed. Serve in a bowl, add toppings, and eat up!
