The Inertia

Welcome to The Inertia Health!

I couldn’t be any more excited help shape this new community of influencers. For us here at The Inertia, it feels like a natural progression to deepen our focus into health through the lens of the ocean and outdoors. It’s a huge part of the culture of the sports we love, from surfing to snowboarding and beyond, and it’s absolutely critical to enable us to appreciate and pursue our passions.

Our vision is to deliver health content that is relevant. It’s not about trends or fad diets. Rather, we’re sharing a different side of our sports; a side that already exists, but has yet to be showcased in a way that truly relates to the surf, ocean, and outdoor community. Think of it as health in context. We’re striving to help our readers learn more, surf more, enjoy the outdoors more, eat better, and live better.

While we’re thrilled to be spearheading this effort, we want you (the fitness experts, nutritionists, and surf coaches among us) to participate. We’ll be creating amazing features with influencers and icons of our space, but we’re also here to structure and support your efforts. We intend to help tell stories and spread knowledge from the aficionados among us. The more involvement we have from those of you who dedicate your lives to health, the more vibrant this community will be. Help us make this health community something special and empowering that truly allows people to live better lives.

So don’t be shy! Even if you’ve never contributed to the site, feel free to reach out and join the conversation. The more voices chiming in the better. We can’t wait to work with you and make 2016 our healthiest year yet!
