The Inertia

Especially as we get older, we tend to lose our ability to control the movement of the lower spine. Over time, the pillow-like discs in your spine that stabilize, support, and move your vertebrae can wear thin. As these shock-absorbers deteriorate, the spine limits the body’s ability for fluid movement of the lower back. Instead, the area becomes stiff, rigid, and painful. While eventually we all wear out our bodies, there are a lot of preventative measures that can be taken to maintain a healthy spine even as we grow older. This 10-minute yoga series addresses just this issue and helps support a healthy spine.
