Presidential candidate Donald Trump has managed to alienate women, African-Americans, Latinos, veterans, Miss USA competitors and now, jibbers (so seemingly every facet of American society). If you were a snowboarder or skier in the first decade of the 2000s, you may remember a limo the Smith Optics team drove to different events throughout the year featuring a rail. Sessions for days wherever it was parked.
Well, apparently a pro-Trump campaign group in Florida bought the vehicle off the Internet because it looked cool. The good folks at Smith had no comment, nor would they confirm or deny if the vehicle was actually the same one the company used for promotion (easy to see why Smith would want to steer clear of this one).
But it’d be hard to find another vehicle with a similar set-up, so chances are…. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the storied limousine of our youth—one that a generation of sponsored riders used to spread debauchery throughout the land. Instead of the “rail limo,” it’s now the ‘Trumpinator,’ and it’s being used to protect “guns and the University of Florida.” According to one of the clones who bought it, they “want to make America great again.” and if anyone “get(s) in the way of the Trumpinator, we’ll run right through em.”
Uh, I’m working in my pajamas. America’s already great.
If you were a fan of that particular Smith marketing campaign (or presidents who actually act like presidents for that matter), then this is pretty freakin’ lame.
