A named storm has shut down much of the Eastern Seaboard but it hasn’t stopped hardy outdoors people from enjoying the snow. Urban adventurers from New York City to Washington D.C. are turning to traditional forms of transportation, like skis, to traverse the streets of major urban areas during Winter Storm Jonas. It’s been a heavy weather event–causing some 18 deaths– with nearly 27 inches of snow falling in New York City alone. Snow has accumulated from the Gulf Coast to New England.
