Mike Basich is a certifiable legend. You may have heard the story? Burnt out on competition and chasing sponsorship, he paved a new road, living off the grid near Lake Tahoe, California. He’s since been able to work with brands he loves, creating customized homes on the road while chasing pow. He’s pretty much a hero to many–mostly because of the way he’s lived his life (see our HEADSPACE with Mike, below).
Well, this season Basich teamed up with 10 Barrel Brewing to create the Beer Cat, a moblie bar built on a 1987 Spryte Snowcat, which is touring resorts this late winter and spring as we speak (find the schedule, here). It’s not a party on wheels but a party on tread, as this mobile pub is definitely capable of taking people to the untracked. The Beer Cat just wrapped up a stint at Bogus Basin in Boise, Idaho and is on its way to Aspen and the Colorado leg of the tour before finishing up in California.
