This video was posted by Laurent Crettenand, a flight assistant with Air-Glaciers in Switzerland, as he apparently watched helicopters drop bombs on the slopes near Grimentz, in the Swiss canton of Valais.
“The most impressive thing is this last bomb that triggers an avalanche all over the face,” says Crettenand told a local media outlet. The final bomb actually triggers the entire ridge line and empties the snow off nearly every face. Snow is powerful.
