Spring skiing and snowboarding will be on this weekend in Idaho, where Silver Mountain Resort (with one of the longest trams in the country) will offer free lift tickets. Yeah, you read that right.
A local car dealership is sponsoring the weekend for skiers and riders everywhere, Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13. Kellogg Peak, the featured peak at Silver Mountain Resort, has had a solid winter, as have most of the resorts near the Canadian Border. Silver–which received 415 inches of snow–is in Kellogg, Idaho, in the Bitterroot Mountains, on I-90 between Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Missoula, Montana.
Live music and beverages will be standard. Silver Mountain only stays open this late a couple a times a decade so this is definitely a must-see if you’re anywhere between, Seattle, Spokane or Missoula.
