The minions are frothing! With snow across the West this week, the veritable vibe on social media had snowboarders and skiers letting loose with a variety of postings welcoming in Old Man Winter. Even though he’s not quite here yet, some people even rode snow in parts of North America. Namely, at Southern Utah’s Brian Head Resort. Brian Head is a sweet little area about three hours northeast of Las Vegas and east of Cedar City.

With the weather patterns this winter predicted to be an El Nino pattern–and don’t quote anyone here because weather is nearly impossible to predict accurately at more than two weeks out–this sort of lines up with parts of the Southwest receiving more snow this winter.

Regardless, things look good at Brian Head. Kyle Sadelson, a North Carolina transplant living in Salt Lake City, scored this weekend. The pow doesn’t look deep, but it’s pow. And it’s a great start. Sadelson has flat been getting after it. “Month 36 in a row. 3 years down!” he wrote on one of his posts about skiing 36 straight months. Sadelson is a bar manager and, according to his Insty, charges hard on his days off, Monday and Tuesday. He got this early season storm at Jackson Hole in August. There’s been some crazy early season shredding this year. Remember this one with Owen Leeper?
