The 2026 Kings & Queens of Corbet’s will be running on Friday, February 13, 2026. Organizers made the call and gave the event a green light Monday after Jackson Hole Mountain Resort received a fresh 16 inches of snow in 24 hours.
Snow totals in the iconic Corbet’s Couloir had been low as the weeklong contest window approached (February 7-14) and odds of running the event didn’t seem all that likely from the outside looking in. But the new storm appeared to have changed conditions drastically.
The 24 skiers and snowboarders in this year’s event will be competing in separate men’s and women’s divisions with $50,000 in total prize money up for grabs. First place finishers in each division will get $5,000, second place will get $3,000, and third place will receive $2,000. And although those awards are going to split between skier and snowbaorder categories, the highest scoring male and highest scoring female athlete overall will take an additional $5,000 bonus as the King or Queen of Corbet’s Couloir.
“Kings & Queens of Corbet’s continues to define what’s possible in big-mountain competition,” said Ned Wonson, Vice President of Marketing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. “This year’s roster represents an exciting blend of experience, creativity, and progression, and Corbet’s Couloir remains the ultimate proving ground.”
