Full disclosure. This little video is one of three produced by NPR late last year to commemorate the U.S. national parks centennial. In other words, it’s not brand new. Still, with spring in full effect and summer quickly approaching, this little tidbit of information might be worthwhile to keep in your back pocket if you find yourself without a lighter or flint and for some reason have a plastic water bottle, paper, and a marker on hand.
Beyond being informational, the whole thing feels very Moonrise Kingdom. And for that, we applaud you NPR.
