This is as Idaho as it gets. According to social media, skier Harlan Collins slammed into a deer this week that failed to yield to uphill traffic at Sun Valley as it crossed a run. The collision didn’t hurt Collins, thankfully, but the deer wasn’t so lucky. The animal died on the slopes, on a run called Lower College to be exact. Collins then proceeded to heave the dead beast upon his shoulders and skied it off the mountain.

Harlan reportedly handed the animal over to ski patrol. While the incident was of course unfortunate, the comments were pure gold:

“That’s one way to fill a tag,” read one. “I can’t believe it died… an absolute power move to bring it down the mountain. Respect,” said another commenter. “Just Idaho things.” Yup, pretty much.
